Dr. Akoijam is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of international experience, committed to supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has practised in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, India, and Australia, gaining valuable cross-cultural insight into the unique psychological challenges faced across different life stages and communities.
Dr. Akoijam works collaboratively with clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, parenting and relationship issues, as well as neurodevelopmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Systemic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Attachment-Based Therapies.
